Parmesan Peppercorn Salad Dressing
There is nothing quite like homemade, is there?
I prefer homemade dressings for salads over store brands any day. So here is a quick, inexpensive
dressing recipe that costs less than a
store brand bottle salad dressing.
In fact, this dressing cost about $2.69 total to make, versus a leading store brand that sells for $3.49 and another brand that sells close to $4.00.
- 1 cup good mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. coarse black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- pinch of kosher salt
Use this dressing in place of an egg wash for making a breaded chicken dish. It's a great "dip" for a fresh crudite platter or to go inside of a hallowed out bread bowl.
