Yellow Squash and Zucchini Baked with Cheddar Cheese
A very simple recipe to make and totally affordable. Takes the squash up a notch and could become a favorite in your house. The photograph shows the squash prior to baking.
- 3 small yellow summer squash - sliced
- 1 long zucchini - sliced
- butter
- shredded cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- In a saute pan over medium high heat, melt some butter. Make sure the butter is bubbling and add in the sliced squash.
- Stir and coat the squash with the butter. Add salt and pepper to taste and stir.
- Turn the heat down to medium and saute the squash getting some of them nice and brown.
- Transfer to a casserole dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese to your liking.
- Bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is completely melted.
