Sweet and Spicy Bacon Wrapped Chicken
This is a really, really good appetizer served with toothpicks. It's not overly expensive to make especially if you take advantage of your store's sale items. Originally I saw the recipe on Paula Deane's show on the Food Network. I have made them a few times and they are a huge hit.
- Boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Bacon
- Cooking Spray
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- Take the boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut into bite sized pieces (about 1/2" thick)
- Bacon - slice and wrap around each piece of chicken then roll in the brown sugar mixture.
- Place the pieces on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
- Preheat the oven to 350°. Bake until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is done. About 20-30 minutes.
