Peanut Butter Blossoms
A simple easy baking recipe that yields a cookie we all love.
- 48 Hershey's Kisses
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Additional sugar for rolling
- Preheat the oven to 375°. Remove the wrappers from the chocolates.
- In a bowl sift the flour, baking soda and salt.
- Cream the butter until light and fluffy. Add in the peanut butter and beat again until incorporated.
- Add in the white and brown sugar and beat until it is fluffy and the sugars are well incorporated.
- Add in the egg, milk and vanilla and beat until blended.
- Add the 1/3 of the flour mixture in at a time until blended.
- Shape the dough into one inch balls. Roll in the granulated sugar. Place the balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Press the center of the balls.
- Bake for about 8-10 minutes and when they come out of the oven press a chocolate kiss in the center.
- Remove the cookies to a wire rack and cool completely.
