Debby's Jello Recipe

Back in the day, as they say our family was larger and we had more summer picnics celebrating holidays and birthdays.  My sister made this Jello Recipe and it became a family favorite.   A refreshing, child friendly and tasty cool dessert that was well received on the picnic buffet table. Our mother loved it and had my sister write it out for her and that's why I still have it today in my family recipe collection.
It's incredibly easy to put together and very economical.
  • 2 sm. pkgs. raspberry Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 lrg. can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 16 oz. container sour cream
  • 2 - 10 oz. pkgs. frozen berries, thawed (raspberries, strawberries - any kind you like)
  • 3 small bananas sliced and cut small
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
Dissolve the 2 packages of Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Combine the remainder of ingredients in a glass baking dish, pour in the dissolved Jello and refrigerate until set.
