Mother's Day

The one day a year we all get to

celebrate our Moms

and celebrate being a Mom.

We recall on this day our moms who may no longer be with us. For those whose still have your mom here on earth we rejoice with them and honor them. If you are a young mother and are still raising children, you are celebrated. Taking your mother out for brunch or fathers taking wives and children out for brunch seems to have gained importance with so many families - that way no mom (or dad) has to cook or clean up after a meal. While that can be enjoyable and affordable for a number of families, it may not be possible for others. So for those of you who may not be able to go to a restaurant for brunch or perhaps a dinner to celebrate, I offer up this menu.  It is designed to be elegant, yet affordable and contain all of the elements you might find on a fancy brunch buffet table.

Quiche with spinach and cheese

Waffles with warm Maple Syrup

Breakfast Sausage

Fruit - melon slices, strawberries

French Toast or French Toast Casserole

Home Fried Potatoes with Onions and Peppers

Grandma Haxton's Coffee Cake

Tea, Coffee and Orange Juice
