Asparagus, Sirloin Steak and Parsley Yukon Gold Potatoes Dinner

It's way to hot to fire up an oven today, so I am grilling dinner. We are going to grill steak today - a sirloin steak I purchased on sale and along side I will cook up some Yukon Gold potatoes and make "parsley potatoes" and we will have steamed asparagus.

The steak went on sale for $3.99 per pound. I picked up a 1 1/4# steak that would feed 4-5 people and average size portion of 4 ounces each. There was enough marbling in the meat, so a simple sprinkling of salt and pepper is all the seasoning it needs. If you grill the steak on high heat to sear it well and cook it to medium rare and slice it against the grain, it should produce a tender, tasty bite.

The parsley potatoes get boiled till fork tender, drained and some butter added to the pan of potatoes with fresh or dried parsley. Toss and they are ready to serve.

As for the asparagus, I am steaming it in a large skillet - butter and salt can be added after cooking based on individual tastes or left out based on dietary or health needs. Also I am providing a link to the health benefits of Asparagus:
