Oatmeal Raisin Cookies




Who can resist a Cookie? This is one of my favorite cookies - I love the raisins in them. Bake a batch for yourself or for holiday give-a-ways. Don't forget to add these delicious morsels to your Christmas cookie list and look on this blog for other tasty cookie recipes!

Sift together:

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
Melt:
  • 1/2 cup butter
Add to the melted butter:
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg - beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Mix until well incorporated and add the butter and sugar to the dry ingredients.
Stir the wet and dry ingredients together.

Add in:
  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup raisins
Mix well and then drop one tablespoon of the cookie batter on a greased or parchment lined cookie sheet.
Flatten the cookies with a spatula.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for approximately 12-15 minutes.
