Sandy Hook Elementary School
This is not a normal post for me. You may have already heard, but yesterday in the town of Newtown, Connecticut (my home state) was stunned and shocked with the mass murders that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School. 20 children and five adults lost their lives in the senseless and brutal massacre before the young gunmen killed himself.
It has left us with so many questions and we are deeply saddened for the families of these innocent children who were between the ages of 5 - 10 years old. The perpetrator was 20 years old and he murdered his mother at her home - she was a teacher at the school. He also shot and killed the principal and other teachers in the school.
We are still waiting upon the Connecticut State Police for more details. The crime scene is huge, and the worst they have ever seen - extremely emotional. The police won't release details until the families are informed first.
I ask you all to say a prayer for the families and the children and for the first responders who were faced with the horror and so shattered by what they saw.
