Basic Knife Skills


Did you ever attempt to cut a tomato and the knife slipped off the skin and almost took a finger off? That's because your knife blade was dull. Also, the best knife for slicing tomatoes is a serrated bread knife. Now you know.

Basic knife skills are essential in the kitchen. I don't own expensive knives, but as stated in the video I have my go to knives. We also have a "steel" to sharpen knives before using and an electric knife sharpener that we use about every 6-8 weeks.
