11 Easy and Simple Fall Desserts

Yum
Crisp clean air, bright blue skies and something wonderful is baking in the oven. Ah the sights and smells of fall - I love it.

There's nothing like the scents of baking ingredients like apples, cinnamon, vanilla and pumpkin ~ the quintessential baking ingredients for fall. It's when the baker I've always aspired to be comes out and I feel the most comfortable in the kitchen with my mixers or rolling pin. Never considering myself a baker and always more of a cook I was surprised at the many desserts I've made here at Cooking On A Budget. Come along and see these 11 easy desserts. Perhaps you'll find one or a few that you would like to try.
First up is one of the most popular recipes on this blog. The BEST Pumpkin Pie Filling. It gained popularity last year when I got lucky enough for the link to appear on MSN. Aside from that this filling recipe is truly out of this world delicious.

Apple and Cider Donut Shortcakes. We are talking not only easy and delicious but it just looks like a fall dessert. I love how pretty it is and how tasty it is and hope you'll try it.

Swedish Cinnamon Apple Cake is a family recipe from my husband's side of our family. His grandmother and mother made this and it's a childhood favorite. This is a simple and really buttery tasty cake that I think you will love.

Cinnamon Buttermilk Bundt with Pumpkin Glaze is a fairly recent recipe on the blog and I could not stop taking just a "sliver" of cake. It's great with morning coffee or tea and makes for a lovely dessert to serve guests.

Carrot Nut Muffins. If you love carrot cake you are going to fall in love with these easy to put together muffins. All of those wonderful fall spices and carrots combine for heavenly flavor. Psst...you don't have to sift either!

Mini Pumpkin Cheesecakes are just a blast to make. Plus they are perfect for individual desserts when you are entertaining. The filling is ever so tasty and with a dollop of whipped cream they look good too!

Fall is apple picking time and who doesn't love apple pie. Make-Ahead Freezer Pies is a super way to enjoy those fall apples all season long.

The berry of fall: cranberries. It's not just for cranberry sauce. Cranberry shines in this easy and delicious Cranberry Cake with Streusel Topping.

Cinnamon Apple Pecan Crumb Pie. If  you desire a little change from regular apple pie give this one a try. But I warn you, you probably won't be able to resist having a second slice!

Slow Cooker Apple Spice Cake is very, very simple and the flavor is so good. Kind of leaves you with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

And this is the easy way to make Apple Strudel. Pre-packaged puff pastry and you end up with a buttery, crispy flaky crust filled with the goodness of apples and raisins.
